My 5 and 6 string basses were custom made by Kenneth (Scott) Lofquist. They both have five-piece flamed maple necks with walnut stringers. Flamed-maple caps sandwich a walnut body. Rosewood fingerboards for both. They are 35 1/2 inch scale with standard Fender Precision string spacing. Both have Bartolini active pickups / preamps (TCT). I've used both extensively and, although they still sound great, they're about due for a major overhaul. Preamp:
